Our One-on-One walks are specifically designed for dogs who do not socialize well with other dogs, or who may be aggressive towards unfamiliar dogs. They are also great for senior dogs who may enjoy a slower-paced walk, or who might need special attention.
This is also a good option for pups with poor leash manners. It is dedicated one-on-one time for your pooch to brush up on his or her skills and be reminded of proper walking etiquette.
Our Pack Walks are all about fun and socialization! Your dog will get to spend time with new friends under controlled supervision. He or she will get to enjoy a hike on one of Barrie's many different nature-trails. Here they will get plenty of exercise and burn off energy so that they are calm and obedient for you when you get home.
If you are concerned because you have a toy breed who may be too small to play with larger breeds, don't worry! Small Breed Pack Walks are available!
Dogs with Backpacks
Our Dogs with Backpack is our favourite option here at Trailheads and Tails! Is your dog high-energy, and require more than just a simple walk? By adding a pack during our walks, your dog will be working twice as hard in half the time.
In addition to physical exersion, your dog will be exercising his or her mind! By giving your dog a 'job' during our walks, you will notice a considerable change in their focus and attention, because they will no longer be feeling anxious and hyper.

While your dog takes in exciting sights and smells, you get to break away from the daily hustle and bustle to relax and decompress. However, if your dog lacks proper leash manners, or you haven't mastered the art of walking a dog, then this can easily become one of the most stressful parts of your day.
This consultation provides a learning opportunity for your dog and for yourself. You will learn new tricks and techniques as well as new product knowledge. Let your walks together be a nice stress release instead of just plain stressful.

Day Hikes
For dogs who need more than an hour hike, or simply to let your pal head out on an adventure, Trailheads and Tails offers day hikes. These can range any where from 2 to 5 hours and take place on various different hiking trails in the Simcoe/Muskoka region. Your dog will be able to explore nature, and get plenty of socialization and exercise.
These hikes are challenging, and so are best suited for dogs who are already physically active. There are rest stops throughout the hike, as well as plenty of water and fun to be had! Spots fill up quickly, so make sure to book a spot in advance!
